Thanks to everyone who shared their ideas and enthusiasm with us at the Crystal Palace on June 3rd for World Bicycle Day. We enjoyed meeting you and hearing your thoughts.
We heard a lot of interest and support for Active Transportation options in Perth. Below are some of your ideas and concerns about accessing the Town using your own power.

And, of course, some humour. Please reach out to the couch potatoes in your life and let them know Active Perth is working to make getting outside easier and more fun.
We heard a lot of comments about accessibility, safety and the lack of infrastructure. We heard a lot of concerns about aging in place and staying active throughout life our later years.
Everyone has a right to access the places and spaces where they live. Using your own body to move around should be a safe and convenient option for everyone.
The comment that the Tay Basin boardwalk is not accessible to wheelchairs was from a citizen using a wheelchair who could see the boardwalk from where we were talking but wasn’t able to access it.
